OFFICIAL PATCH RECORD
Patch 1.0.0.1 is available on PC
ProbablyMonsters released Crimson Moon Patch 1.0.0.1 on September 4, 2026. The official announcement identifies the PC build as version 162350 and labels this release as the first Alpha implementation of keybinding support, not the finished input-settings experience.
- Basic keyboard and mouse remapping is now available
- All actions exposed by the current custom profile can be rebound
- Bindings can be restored to their defaults
- Mouse sensitivity controls are now included
- Open Settings > Keyboard, then select the custom keyboard profile with the left arrow

What the Alpha implementation does not support
The patch deliberately ships a useful subset early. Team Metal says the following binding types remain planned for a future implementation, so their absence should not be diagnosed as a failed install of 1.0.0.1.
- Multiple keys assigned to the same action
- Double-tap inputs
- Hold inputs

Hotfix 1.0.1: shipped fixes
The latest official Crimson Moon announcement confirms Hotfix 1.0.1 is live. It adds rolling backup saves, fixes several unintended progression resets, fixes Steam Deck-to-PC save syncing, and addresses co-op invitations, reconnect hosting, revival and client run progress. The patch also names crash fixes across PC and consoles, including Egregore, plus HUD scaling and multiple keybinding-prompt corrections.
- Rolling backup saves add protection when a save is corrupted or fails to load
- Several progression-reset cases were fixed, while further loss reports remain under investigation
- Steam Deck-to-PC sync on the same account was fixed
- Client co-op run progress can now persist for solo continuation
- Title-screen invite lock, reconnect host availability and Nexus Gate revival issues were addressed
- HUD scaling and 4K UI scaling improved

What remains planned
The September roadmap still matters after Hotfix 1.0.1: the developer says Hotfix 1.0.2 is planned later in September with more co-op and crossplay fixes, quest/objective blockers, combat and boss fixes, controller button customization and clearer Boon information. Update 1.1 is planned for late October. These are targets, not shipped functionality.
- Keep reporting reproducible save or progression loss after 1.0.1
- Do not assume the planned crossplay fixes define the full platform scope
- Controller button customization is planned, not confirmed as delivered
- A future free content update remains announced without exact content or timing

How to verify the patch safely
- Restart the launcher and let Crimson Moon finish its latest update
- Check the platform update history for Hotfix 1.0.1 where your platform displays it
- Treat PC build 162350 as the earlier Patch 1.0.0.1 keybinding release, not as a claimed Hotfix 1.0.1 build number
- Open Settings > Keyboard and select the custom profile before testing a rebind
- Test one changed action in a low-risk area and use Restore Defaults if it creates an input conflict
- Keep a save/progression report reproducible and include the platform plus installed version
