September 5 update: adaptive difficulty

The current official update adds an optional experimental Adaptive Difficulty setting. It is off by default and can be changed under Game > Game Settings > Adaptive Difficulty.

  • Winning can raise enemy damage, health and break resistance beyond the original maximum difficulty
  • Struggling can lower those same values and cap the share of a full health bar removed by one hit
  • Difficulty adjustments relax toward standard balance when the player's performance changes
  • Night Mode can become harder but is never made easier by the system
  • The initial experimental version has no on-screen adjustment indicator

  • Infinite Seal received a wider consecutive-parry window
  • Status effects can apply while enemies recover from a riposte
  • Sariel and Genessa received ability fixes and balance changes

Known issue retained by the developer

The official notes still flag a possible Malborn Offspring issue when the Grisha Remnant Summon is used during the boss fight. ParryGrid keeps this separate from confirmed fixes.
