OFFICIAL PATCH RECORD

Start with Capcom’s published support order

Capcom’s pinned support thread begins with the official minimum requirements. It says hardware below that floor can cause poor frame rate or prevent the game from running; players who meet minimum but not recommended should lower graphics settings. The same guidance says Capcom does not guarantee normal operation on hardware below minimum requirements, mobile GPUs, external GPUs or Windows Insider preview builds.

  • Compare the PC with the published minimum requirements
  • If below recommended but at or above minimum, lower graphics settings first
  • Treat mobile GPUs, eGPUs and Insider builds as outside the normal-operation guarantee
  • Do not turn a single player report into a universal hardware verdict

OFFICIAL PATCH RECORD

Official launch, crash and low-frame-rate checks

  • Add the game folder and executable to security-software exclusions if a false positive may block launch
  • Try running Steam, then the game executable, with administrator privileges if the normal launch fails
  • Update Windows and the graphics driver
  • Capcom lists NVIDIA 596.49+ and AMD 26.5.1+ as the driver baselines in its support thread
  • For unstable frame rate, set Settings > Graphics > Graphics Preset to Low
  • Use a well-ventilated PC and consider lower graphics settings or a frame-rate limit if heat is contributing to instability

OFFICIAL PATCH RECORD

Display and shader-cache guidance

For flickering or blank-screen reports, Capcom directs players to adjust Screen Mode, Resolution, VSync and HDR Mode in the Graphics options. Its support article also says damaged shader cache files can contribute to graphical issues, and identifies the game-generated shader.cache and shader.cache2 files in the installation folder. This is official troubleshooting guidance, not a promise that shader cache is the cause of every hitch or crash.

  • Change one display setting at a time so the result is attributable
  • Record the prior and new setting when a display issue changes
  • Use the official folder and filenames rather than deleting unrelated saves or configuration data
  • If the issue continues, provide the exact mode and display hardware in the report

OFFICIAL PATCH RECORD

How to make a report Capcom can use

Capcom asks players to provide CPU, GPU and VRAM, graphics-driver version, system memory, operating-system version, security software, display model, graphics settings and reproduction details. For a crash, its support thread says a dated CrashReport archive may be created in the game folder. Preserve that report and the affected configuration rather than applying destructive save-file advice.

  • Exact location and timing of the problem
  • Whether restarting changes the symptom
  • A screenshot or video when safe to provide
  • DxDiag information and a copy of the graphics config when requested
  • The most recent CrashReport archive after a crash

What this page does not claim

The pinned support thread is a troubleshooting procedure, not a patch note declaring every issue fixed. It does not establish a universal best graphics preset, a frame-rate guarantee, Steam Deck status or a single root cause for all crashes. This page will change only when Capcom publishes a numbered update or revised official support instruction.

  • No fabricated benchmark target
  • No unverified mod or DLL workaround
  • No instruction to delete saves
  • No claim that community reports are developer-confirmed defects
