OFFICIAL PATCH RECORD

What Hotfix 1.0.1 fixes for saves

Hotfix 1.0.1 adds rolling backup saves to protect against a corrupted or failed-to-load save, and fixes several cases where progress could reset unintentionally. The developer says further reports of save and progression loss are still being investigated. The patch improves protection and fixes named cases; it does not offer a universal recovery guarantee for every earlier loss.

  • Rolling backup saves were added
  • Several unintended progression-reset cases were fixed
  • Further save/progression-loss reports remain under investigation
  • Preserve the affected state and timeline when a problem continues after the update

OFFICIAL PATCH RECORD

Steam and Steam Deck cloud synchronization

Hotfix 1.0.1 explicitly fixes save syncing between Steam Deck and PC when the same Steam account is used. This is separate from all other save-loss reports. A continuing mismatch after installing the hotfix should be reported with device order and version rather than treated as proof that all prior sync failures persist.

  • Steam Deck-to-PC sync on the same account: fixed in Hotfix 1.0.1
  • Record which device was used last if an issue continues
  • Record whether the hotfix finished before the device switch
  • Avoid overwriting uncertain local or cloud state while collecting details

OFFICIAL PATCH RECORD

What not to do first

  • Do not delete the remaining save data
  • Do not repeatedly launch on multiple devices before documenting the state
  • Do not claim a community backup procedure is official recovery guidance
  • Take screenshots of the account, character and version information
  • Use the official support route with update time, platform and affected progress

How this page will be updated

ParryGrid will change this status only when a numbered release note explicitly describes another shipped save-data fix or a recovery policy. Hotfix 1.0.1 is a material improvement, not a retrospective guarantee for every affected save.
