EXPORT AND RECOVERY DESK

Keep the work. Resolve the next step.

Start with the message or result you can see. If the newest work is still in a tab, keep that tab open until you have a copy.

Saving is paused, failed, or out of room

“Not saved” or a storage warning

  1. Keep the editor tab open; the latest changes may exist only in memory.
  2. Download a single-work or library JSON backup, then confirm the downloaded file exists. A PNG is an additional viewable copy, not an editable substitute.
  3. Check the library meter. Both active and archived works count toward eight works and the 3 MiB serialized budget.
  4. After making a backup, remove unnecessary images or delete a backed-up work if you need room. Archiving does not free capacity.
  5. If capacity is available, check this site's browser storage permissions and available space. Browser quotas can be lower than the studio budget.

Do not clear site data as the first repair. A visible canvas and a filled-slot count do not prove a successful save.

Another tab changed the library

Saving pauses instead of silently overwriting another tab's version. Use Back up this tab first. If both versions matter, keep a backup from each tab. Then choose Load saved version and read the confirmation: unsaved changes in this tab will be replaced. Work in one editing tab afterwards.

Saved data could not be read

The unreadable stored data is retained while saving is paused. Choose Download recovery file before starting a new library. The recovery file preserves the raw data; it is not a guarantee that automatic restore can repair it. Starting a new library requires confirmation and replaces the unreadable stored record.

PNG is missing, interrupted, or shows the wrong version

  1. Open the intended work and Preview. Confirm the layout and whether spoiler notes should be included.
  2. Choose Download PNG and keep the preview open while it is preparing. Closing the preview or changing spoiler visibility can cancel an in-progress export; retry with the intended settings.
  3. Check the browser's downloads list and any blocked-download notice. “Download requested” does not prove a file reached the folder you expected.
  4. Open the actual downloaded file and check every visible row, the longest title, crops and notes.

Nine-slot output is 1440 × 1600 pixels; sixteen-slot output is 1920 × 2080. Blank slots remain visible, and empty boards can be exported. If you expected sixteen entries but see nine, check the selected layout. The hidden seven slots remain in the editable work and JSON backup, but are excluded from the nine-slot output.

If PNG preparation fails, retry after checking the images and shortening crowded text, or inspect Print / PDF as another finished output. Downloading creates a local file, not a public work page. See layout and output diagnosis.

An image is rejected, soft, or badly cropped

Use a genuine JPG, PNG or WebP no larger than 5 MiB (5 × 1024 × 1024 bytes) and 24 million decoded pixels. The browser must be able to decode it. Renaming an extension does not convert the image; try a smaller valid copy if processing fails.

Accepted files are resized to a longest edge of at most 512 pixels and encoded as JPEG on white. Fine lettering can soften and transparent areas become white. The original source file is not overwritten; keep it separately.

Adjust both crop axes and inspect the tile. An axis may barely change when the image already fits it. Remove image returns to the original illustration without removing the title or note. Follow the full crop workflow if the subject still disappears. There is no remote cover lookup or image-URL import.

Review what a backup will change

Restore scope is determined by the backup
BackupAfter confirmationBefore confirming
Single workAdds a separate work; current works remain.Check the title and layout, and leave capacity for another work.
Whole libraryReplaces the current browser library.Back up the current library if you want to keep it, then review the listed works.

Cancel keeps the existing library. If the library changes while you are reviewing a restore, select the backup again so you can review the current situation. After a successful restore, check titles, all sixteen stored slots, notes, crops, layout and archive state.

If the backup is rejected

  1. Check that it is a supported JSON work or library backup, including supported earlier v1/v2/v3 and my9games-format data. PNG and PDF cannot restore editable content.
  2. Read the format, size or image error. Imported data must fit the supported structure and library capacity; a renamed extension does not help.
  3. Keep the original file unchanged and try another known backup if available.

Rejected data leaves the current library unchanged. A recovery download from unreadable storage may itself contain damaged data; retaining it preserves options without claiming it is a valid backup.

Backups contain all sixteen slots, processed images and spoiler notes even when sharing outputs hide them. JSON is not encrypted. Read the backup guide before moving or sharing one.

Copy caption is blocked or the text differs from the picture

If clipboard access is blocked, select and copy the text shown in the fallback field using your device's copy command. Captions include named entries from the visible layout; untitled image-only slots are not listed. Ranked entries keep their grid positions, so an empty named slot can leave a gap in the numbering.

Review the name, personal notes and spoiler setting before pasting. Marked notes remain hidden unless you explicitly include spoilers in Preview. Copying does not send or publish anything.

A work or some entries seem to be missing

  1. Clear library search and check both active and archived works. Search can match a work title or a game name.
  2. If the last seven entries are absent, switch the work to sixteen slots.
  3. Check the device, browser profile and exact address, including protocol and port. Each origin has separate storage.
  4. Consider whether private browsing ended or site data was cleared.
  5. Restore a saved JSON if you have one, reviewing whether it adds a work or replaces the library.

There is no account or cloud recovery. An image can help you re-enter visible text; it cannot reconstruct hidden notes or the editable fields. Undo history does not survive changing works or leaving the page.

Print a complete board or save a checked PDF

Open Preview, review the visible layout and spoiler choice, then choose Print / save PDF. The print layout requests A4 portrait and hides editing controls; browser settings and printer drivers can alter the result.

  1. Inspect the page count and every visible row, especially the bottom row. Look for titles or notes outside their tiles.
  2. Check paper size, orientation, scale and margins. Turn off browser headers and footers if dates or URLs appear. Enable background graphics when you want the board colors.
  3. When available, save a PDF and open the actual file. For paper, inspect one sample before printing more.

If an extra page or clipping appears, adjust one setting at a time and inspect all pages again. A PDF's existence is not proof that all entries printed. If the print action reports an unreadable image, replace that image and retry. If covers look soft, a larger print cannot recover detail removed by the 512-pixel import limit.

Print and PNG are separate outputs: neither proves the other is correct. At 300 pixels per inch, the nine-slot PNG is approximately 122 × 135 mm and the sixteen-slot PNG 163 × 176 mm. Those are arithmetic examples, not a quality guarantee. More guidance: choose and inspect the layout.

Language switching or another link is blocked

Language changes use ordinary links after the current changes are saved. Your work titles, game names and notes remain as you wrote them. There is no temporary language-transfer workflow to configure, and the language choice does not create a separate work.

If saving fails, the editor pauses navigation to protect the unsaved version. Keep that tab open and download a backup before resolving the save warning or tab conflict. Opening another page does not transfer changes that exist only in the original tab. Returning through a help link is not a recovery method for unsaved memory.
