PRIVACY AND LOCAL DATA

Your work stays in this browser until you take a copy.

The studio has no account, remote upload, analytics, payment, cover-search service or public community. Local storage and downloaded files still deserve deliberate handling.

What the browser keeps

The local library stores active and archived works, their titles, optional author names, themes, appearance, order, selected layout, game names, notes, spoiler marks, illustration choices, crop positions and processed images. It holds up to eight works within a 3 MiB serialized budget; browser permissions and quotas may be lower.

Each work keeps sixteen internal slots. A nine-slot layout hides the last seven instead of deleting them. Spoiler marks hide notes from sharing outputs by default; they do not remove the text from the saved library or JSON backups.

Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to open the library. It is not encrypted storage or a cloud backup. A different device, profile, protocol or port has separate data. Private browsing or clearing site data can remove local works.

History, old drafts and unreadable data

Undo and Redo keep up to fifteen edits in memory for the current work session. Switching works or leaving the page clears that history. Duplication makes a separate saved work; archiving keeps a work in the same library and still uses capacity.

The studio can recognize supported earlier drafts and backup formats. An unreadable current library pauses saving rather than silently overwriting its stored record. A recovery download preserves that raw record before you choose whether to start a new library. It may contain personal content and may not be automatically restorable.

Saving, language links and other tabs

Language links use the saved local library and change the interface language without translating your own text. There is no temporary language-transfer copy. If the latest changes cannot be saved, navigation is paused so you can keep the tab and download a backup.

If another tab changes the saved library, saving in this tab pauses. Back up its contents before loading the saved version, because that action replaces unsaved changes in this tab after confirmation. This conflict check is not cloud synchronization or a history of both versions.

Images are processed locally

Selected JPG, PNG and WebP files are decoded, resized and re-encoded on your device. The stored copy is JPEG with a longest edge of at most 512 pixels; transparent areas become white. The studio does not overwrite the source file or retain it as an original-photo archive.

Re-encoding does not intentionally carry the source file's metadata into the processed copy, but visible people, usernames, handwriting or locations remain in the picture. Use permitted images and inspect their contents. Original abstract illustrations are available without fetching any game cover.

What leaves the editor when you request it

Local outputs contain different parts of a work
OutputContent
PNG / print / PDFThe visible nine- or sixteen-slot composition, including personal text and images. Marked spoiler notes are hidden unless you explicitly include them.
CaptionNamed entries from the visible layout and the text permitted by the current spoiler choice. Clipboard access follows your Copy action, with a manual fallback.
Single-work JSONThe editable work, all sixteen slots, processed images and spoiler notes, including content hidden from the output.
Library JSONThe saved collection, including archived works and their complete editable content.
Recovery fileThe unreadable stored record as it exists; it can contain personal data even when the studio cannot display it.

JSON and recovery files are not encrypted. Downloads remain in your chosen folder until you remove them. Clearing browser data does not delete downloads, clipboard contents, printed pages or copies you already sent. Printing uses the browser and operating system's print controls.

Template links and example pages

A template application URL carries a template ID, such as ?template=taste-map, rather than your collection data. It opens a confirmation to create a separate blank work. The example gallery is a static, read-only collection of fictional names and notes; it is not a community of published user works.

The studio does not create a public page for your work. Sending a finished file elsewhere is your choice. A localhost or 127.0.0.1 preview address only works on the device running that preview.

Removing data deliberately

Back up anything you want to keep before deleting a work. Deletion requires confirmation and cannot be undone through the board's edit history. Archive is not deletion. To remove the site's stored data completely, use the browser's controls for this site; remove downloaded files separately.

If data is unreadable, download the recovery file before confirming a new library. If saving failed, keep the current tab open until you have a copy. Follow storage and recovery help rather than clearing storage as a first step.

Page hosting

This tool is served as part of ParryGrid. The host receives ordinary page and asset requests and may retain infrastructure logs; it does not receive your collection text or selected images through this tool. The editor has no analytics scripts. Other ParryGrid pages have their own data practices, described in the main site privacy notice.
